Hampi Festival Details
The festival includes Dance, Drama, Music, fireworks, puppet shows, spectacular processions, etc. Artists from various fields and from every corner of India gather here to enjoy the beautiful splendour of the festival. All the events are held in open spaces, so the people enjoy the open air environment of the celebrations. The calm and quiet Hampi city enjoys the vibrant and soothing classical music and enjoys the presence of artists during these days. While you are visiting some must-sees include the still functional Virupaksha Temple with its pillared halls and giant entrance towers; this holy site is believed to be the oldest temple in Hampi. Walk through the Hampi Bazaar, once a thriving market and that’s till today lined with old two storied pavilions. Another interesting visit is the Vithala Temple to view India’s iconic stone chariot and musical pillars. Catch a glimpse of royal splendour at the Queen’s Bath and the Zenana Enclosure renowned for its spectacular architecture at both the Lotus Mahal and Elephant Stables. Marvel at the Hazara Rama Temple.

<strong>Day 01 : Arrival Bangalore </strong>
Meet and assist at the airport and transfer to hotel. Night stay in Bangalore.
<strong>Day 02 : Bangalore - Mysore </strong>
Morning city tour of Bangalore. Bangalore, known as the “City of Gardens.” Popularly known as the “Garden City”, Bangalore is situated, 3,000 feet above sea level and has bracing, pleasant climate. It is well known for its botanical garden and colourful markets. You will also visit Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens containing century-old trees, fountains, lotus pools, ornamental fences, and one of the largest collections of rare and exotic tropical plants in India.You will see Vidhan Sudha – It houses the State’s Legislature and Secretariat, Nandi Temple – One of Oldest temple, popularly known as the Bull temple, etc.Later proceed by surface Mysore. enroute visiting Sirangapatnam – capital of warrior – King Hyder Ali & his son Tipu Sultan, has magnificent monuments that are well worth a visit.Later Drive to Mysore On Arrival Check into Hotel Overnight at Mysore.
<strong>Day 03 : Mysore </strong>
Morning after breakfast, visit Mysore Palace : Once the residence of the Woodeyars, Built in 1912 in the Indo – Saracenic style, this palace exudes a grandeur that is unmatched. The Golden royal Elephant, the Durbar hall. visit the places you must have been longing to visit: Sir Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery – Housed in the Jag Mohan Palace, this gallery has a collection of exquisite paintings dating back to 1875. St. Phenomena’s Church – Built in the Gothic style, one of the largest churches of the country. Chamundi Hills – Right on the top of the hill. Evening Visit the Brindavan Gardens – Witness the exuberant beauty of Brindavan Gardens. Night stay in Mysore.
<strong>Day 04 : Mysore – Hassan </strong>
Early Morning after breakfast, checkout and proceed to Hassan Enroute visit Belur- On the banks of the Yagachi River is Belur, a star shaped temple with hand lathe-turned filigreed pillars and sculptures will take your breath away. It is the only Hoysalas temple still in active worship and Halebid – Just 17km away from Belur is Halebid, the ancient capital of the Hoysalas. The temple, perched on a star shaped base amidst lawns, is a sculptural extravaganza. Also visit Shravanabelagola- A prominent Jain pilgrim center in Hassan district. Evening Free on own .Overnight Hassan.
<strong>Day 05 : Hassan - Hospet </strong>
Morning after breakfast Drive to Hospet .On Arrival Check into Hotel . The magnificent ruined city of Hampi, Karnataka once the capital of the Vijayanagar Empire (One of the greatest empires in the history of India), comes alive during the lively festival of dance and music, held in the first week of November. Evening Witness the Cultural festival in the backdrop of Hampi temples. Night stay in Hospet.
<strong>Day 06 : Hospet - Hampi - Hospet </strong>
Morning explore the beautiful world of Hospet. The touristic importance of this lies in its proximity to Hampi, the site of the Medieval Vijaynagar Empire, (13 kms) is the most evocative of all the ruins in Karnataka. Evening Witness the Cultural festival in the backdrop of Hampi temples. Night stay in Hospet.
<strong>Day 07 :Hospet </strong>
After breakfast day at leisure. Later Witness the Cultural festival in the backdrop of Hampi . Night stay in Hospet.
<strong>Day 08 : Hospet – Bangalore </strong>
Morning check out Hospet and drive to Bangalore to connect flight back home.
