Leh Tips

Leh is the Capital city of Ladakh . It is located at 3505 meters and falls on east of Jammu and Kashmir. It is important not just as a city but also it holds importance as the administrative, cultural and commercial capital. Leh is situated on the Indus shores, and is also one of the most visited Ladakh tourism. The important monasteries are within 40 kms of distance from Leh. Tourist and travellers, trekkers and adventurers all camp in Leh ladakh tour before setting out for their real adventure tour to Ladakh. Trekking in Ladakh is a dream of every Adventurer around the Globe. It is at a distance of 434 Kms from Srinagar and 474 Kms from Manali. Leh district comprises of Leh town and 112 inhabited villages and one un-inhabited village. The total population of Leh district is 1.17 lacs.

<strong>Day 01 : Arrival at Leh</strong>

You arrive at Leh airport, where you are welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Leh. You are welcomed at the hotel with complimentary tea/coffee. After a sumptuous lunch, we embark on a sightseeing tour of Leh, covering Leh Market, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay is at the hotel.

<strong>Day 02 : Leh to Lamayuru</strong>

After a hearty breakfast, we drive to Lamayuru, visiting the quaint Liker Monastery and the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib on our way. You also get to camp at Alchi or Ule for a while. Enjoy the scenic views and the serenity while enjoying hot lunch. After that enjoyable camping experience, we visit the Lamayuru Monastery, which is the oldest monastery in Ladakh. Post that visit, you can either camp overnight or stay at a nearby hotel, depending on the weather conditions.

<strong>Day 03 : Alchi to Leh</strong>

We drive back to Leh, making our way through Alchi again, where you get to visit the Alchi Monastery. We arrive in Leh by afternoon, after visiting the Basgo Palace and Hall of Fame, post which, there is hot lunch waiting at the hotel. You are on your own for the rest of the day, with an overnight stay at the hotel.

<strong>Day 04 : Leh to Nubra Valley</strong>

We drive to Nubra Valley from Leh, covering a distance of 120 km. On the way, you get to experience a drive on Khardung La pass, the highest motorable pass in the world. In Nubra Valley, you get to explore the villages of Deskit and Hunder, which gives you a glimpse into the lives of local people. Don’t forget to take a camel safari in the sand dunes between Deskit and Hunder villages. It is an eclectic experience. Overnight stay at the hotel.

<strong>Day 05 : Nubra Valley to Leh</strong>

After a visit to Deskit Monastery, we drive back to Leh via the same route, for an overnight stay at the hotel.

<strong>Day 06 : Leh to Pangong Lake</strong>

After an early morning breakfast, we leave for Pangong Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes of Ladakh. It is situated at an altitude of 14,500 feet, and is known to change colors every season. We make our way through Changla Pass, which is the third highest motorable pass in the world, before we arrive at Pangong Lake by afternoon. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the place, which mesmerizes you and keeps you in awe of nature. You get to camp overnight for a rustic experience.

<strong>Day 07 : Pangong Lake to Leh</strong>

After an early morning breakfast and a fantastic camping experience, we drive back to Leh, visiting Hemis monastery, Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace on our way. Overnight stay at the hotel.

<strong>Day 08 : Back to Delhi</strong>

After that rejuvenating tour of Ladakh, it is time to head back home. You are transferred to Leh airport for your flight back to Delhi.

  • Cost of Rail or Airfare to and from the meeting and dropping place of the tour except Airport to Airport Tours / specifically mentioned in the tour itinerary.
  • Cost of any individual Airport / Railway station transfer
  • Any Increase in the Airfare / Hotel tariff charges.
  • Any Increase in the fuel surcharge or any kind of taxes levied by the respective government or statutory bodies.
  • Cost of extension of the validity or deviation from the route of the tour in case of Airport to Airport tours.
  • Porterage(Coolie charges), laundry, wines & alcoholic beverages, mineral water (unless specified), telephone charges, shopping, all items of personal nature and also food and drinks not forming the part of the group menus.
  • Cost of Insurance
  • Extra stay pre/post tour.
  • Any extra expenses incurred for changing the route due to any unforeseen circumstances, forced majuire instances, natural calamities, political disturbances, strikes etc.
  • Extra cost incurred due to illness, accident, hospitalization or any Individual unforeseen cost incurring incidence.
  • In case of Pilgrimage tours cost of horse back, Doli, Helicopter (unless specifically mentioned), chopper etc.
  • Any private transfers taken to move from one place to another instead of coach
  • Additional extra topping if taken
  • If any activity/sightseeing done twice
  • Any add-on sightseeing/activities along with transfers if done other than mentioned in the tour program.
  • Fur coats/Jackets to visit snow point or any special attire required to visit any particular sightseeing place.
